About Me

Rebecca Wurzburger I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Beverly Hills. I work with individual adults, couples, and adolescents. In addition, I am a Clinical Supervisor and the Intake and Assessment Coordinator at The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills. I am also the co-founder of Relationships Inc, The Center for Healthy Relating, where we focus on improving all relationships. Feel free to check out our website at relationships-inc.com

I received my Master's and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The California School of Professional Psychology. During my coursework I received training at various mental health agencies in Southern California.

My first training experience was a practicum at The Center for Healthy Aging in Santa Monica, CA (currently known as Wise and Healthy Aging). There I provided individual therapy to adult clients ages 55 and older, treating them for a variety of chronic mental health conditions. I also co-facilitated a Skills Building Group based on Marsha Linehan's Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

My first formal internship was at The Julia Ann Singer Center at Vista Del Mar in Los Angeles. There, my experiences included providing family therapy for families from a variety of ethnic backgrounds following a Family Systems perspective and providing individual play therapy to children ages 4-14 from a Psychodynamic perspective. In addition, I received training and experience in conducting psycho-educational and childhood psychopathology assessments.

I completed my second formal internship as well as my post-doctoral training at The Maple Counseling Center (TMCC) in Beverly Hills. During my three years of training at The Maple Center I provided therapy to individual adults, couples, adolescents, children, and families.

In addition, in collaboration with Dr. Lorraine Rose, I developed a Communication Skills Workshop that was offered to TMCC clients to help them develop the skills needed to learn to communicate more authentically, effectively, and safely.

Formerly, I spent many years working in the financial industry, on the management team and as a broker/trader of a boutique Wall Street investment banking firm. This experience gave me a unique perspective and a deeper understanding of the experiences and challenges of financial executives, venture capitalists, brokers, traders, and entrepreneurs and their families.
